The departments of Health and Culture Department of Yecla, through Health Inspection Service and the People's University, put in place from March 9, an educational program in schools on healthy eating habits.
Under the slogan "Eat healthy, growing happy," the activity which is aimed at students of 1 to 4 of Primary Education, aims to promote healthy eating among children by promoting the importance of a healthy eating habits to prevent diseases such as obesity, diabetes and eating disorders, as well as the importance of exercise for proper physical, mental and social.
The sessions, which will be in the same school, they will be taught by a qualified dietitian and nutrition.
And as informative material has edited a metro-comic, which will be distributed to each child, with messages of how engaging and fun should be your food.
Through this activity, organized and sponsored by the departments of Health and Culture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the City of Yecla supports the guidelines of the Ministry of Health to set up programs with the primary goal of preventing childhood obesity and promote healthy lifestyles.
