Eleven Carnival rocks and hundreds of fanciful costumes and colorful streets of Yecla next weekend with the celebration of Carnival 2010 organized by the Department of Celebrations of the City of Yecla.
The program of events starts on Friday February 12 at the Teatro Concha Segura, with the Coronation of the Queen of Carnival, (Elia Disla Azorín, de la Peña Care we arrived), the Proclamation of the Carnival and Costume Contest.
The various participating clubs submit their choreography and jokes on stage at the Concha Segura, in this contest in which the jury will award prizes to fantasy, elegance, best costume, empathy, originality, best choreography and best direction of humor.
On Saturday February 13 will be held two carnival parades, which will leave both the site of the former barracks of the Guardia Civil.
In the afternoon (at 18.30) are involved in the rocks and will run for Antonio Machado, Maestro Mora, San Jose, San Francisco, San Antonio and Stephen Diaz to the point of departure.
In the evening, starting at 23.30 hours and by the same route involving both clubs and all the costumes they want.
End of the festive carnival tent installed on the Avenida de Cartagena (old train station) which began the Great Night of Mardi Gras.
Finally, on Sunday 14 February, from five in the afternoon, from the Plaza de San Cayetano, it holds the Grand Parade Children's Carnival, which circulate in the streets: San Jose, San Francisco, San Antonio and Esteban Diaz ends in the Carnival Tent, located on Avenida de Cartagena (old train station) where the Children's Festival will take place with orchestra and children's characters.
The holiday budget amounts to 18,470 euros, including awards for clubs, special lighting, infrastructure, fairs and shows, sound public address system.
