The House approved the amendment of municipal taxes, which are significantly reduced in 2010 (06/11/2009)

The Councillor for Finance, Guadalupe Santa ensures that the prolonged economic crisis has influenced the establishment of municipal taxes for next year and has led to propose a fiscal policy has three objectives: reduction of taxes, in general, higher taxes affecting certain groups, and implementation of numerous tax benefits, especially in three distinct population groups, such as families, economic and productive sectors and the unemployed.

These tax benefits include the freezing of almost all of the taxes for 2010 and the annual update to the September CPI some taxes, because it promotes a greater degree to the public.

They are also significant reduction of 1% of licensing fees and urban minor works, with rounding down, the fall of 25% of the license fee for opening establishments environmental qualification, and the reduction of 50% for construction of public housing, which benefits the construction industry and also those for the first time access to housing, most of whom are young.

More bonuses

In addition to the reductions in large families, pensioners and disabled, establishing tax breaks for households by 5% bonus IBI receipts of rustic and urban, and fords vehicles when receipts are domiciled, as well as by freezing the rate of garbage collection service, so that yeclanos pay the same for this rate since the operation of that service in 2007.

Another group are highly benefited the unemployed who do not have to pay fees to enroll or considered in courses and calls made by the council or to use sports facilities.

Note that the modification of ordinances and municipal fees for 2010 includes the establishment of new taxes that fall only on citizens seeking administrative services, making use of certain municipal or public spaces, representing a new source of revenue for the City Hall.

The Councillor of Finance said that by the year 2010, yeclanos need to defer or split the payment of municipal debts will also be better able to meet with the City.

According to Guadalupe Santa, the fiscal policy to changes in ordinances and municipal rates implies a significant reduction in income as a result of plummeting revenues from the construction sector, the stagnant economic activity and production and the substantial reduction State revenue.

"The Team, sensitive and aware of the continuing economic crisis, poses a fiscal policy for 2010 given by the containment, reduction, rebate and exemption in the payment of taxes for the vast majority of yeclanos and reduced the tax burden in global terms, "says Councillor of Finance, Guadalupe Santa.
