The eleventh edition of the Master CETEM University intends to break the tight supply of qualified technical personnel in the furniture industry (24/08/2009)

The Furniture Technology Center and Wood (CETEM) in partnership with the University of Murcia, has opened the application period of the eleventh edition of the Master's Degree in Industrial Design and Organization in the furniture sector, which is aimed at university students qualifications of the business world, as designers, engineers or economists.

The master began in 1998 and since then it has trained over 180 students, of whom the majority are working in related industry and within the region of Murcia.

Has a duration of 520 hours of theoretical and practical training, divided into several blocks: a core part of more general and some intensification, chosen by the student in Industrial Design or Enhancement Enhanced Industrial Organization.

In addition, there will be 200 hours of training in companies in the furniture industry, where students can develop the knowledge acquired during the course in a real company.

These practices will be concurrent with training in the Master.

All theoretical training to be conducted in the facility with which account CETEM Yecla, shall be accompanied by additional work and visits to fairs, visits to manufacturers of furniture, ancillary products and raw materials.

The master also has an informative website, which includes an application where students can access information of interest to them, such as class schedules, curriculum, teachers and accompanying documentation directly related to the content of classes.

Notably, the highest scoring students will be awarded the Award / Scholarship Lola Martinez, consisting of tuition reimbursement and paid work experience in CETEM.

Through this master is intended to respond to tight supply of qualified personnel who now exists for the furniture sector, with the aim of raising the technological and professional level of the different areas of business, where business growth and its future prospects are limited to date by the scarcity of qualified technical manpower.

In this way it responds to business demands in this important industrial sector, which is the second largest by turnover in the region.
