Yecla, a benchmark in the region in contemporary art through the Cre-Action Festival (11/11/2008)

This morning was brought in Yecla the first edition of the FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART CRE-ACTION, handheld Youth Councilwoman Monica Azorín and the Deputy Councillor of Culture, Jesús Verdú, accompanied by the Coordinator of Youth Space Yecla Niceto Island, and Dr. of the company coordinating the project Connecting Culture, Joaquin Medina.

FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART The CRE-ACTION, which will flood the streets adjacent to the Parque de la Constitution de Yecla during this weekend, 14, 15 and 16 November, was an initiative of both councils, Youth and Culture, to the large number of young people with artistic yeclanos.

As pointed out by Joaquín Medina, Dr. Cultural Connection, "have made similar efforts in the region, but this is the first city council, which an enterprising way, takes on a festival of this nature, claiming the street art, viewing it as possibility of alternating the traditional cultural venues such as theater or gallery, with other new areas. "

In this first issue involves more than fifty artists and young people with different proposals and actions that will surprise us throughout the weekend.

Of these fifty participants, thirteen are yeclanos artists who contribute their work and assist in coordinating this festival, thus promoting dialogue and collaboration between artists.

Of all the activities that includes the Festival include the arts, which will be well represented by local artists.

But we can also enjoy other art forms such as performances, musical, visual, poetry, fashion and even fusion cuisine.

But as highlighted by the project coordinators, "is a festival that is not located at a given age, as there are overt and conspicuous for all ages and groups, such as plastic children's workshop."

In this way, the City achieves a double goal: the promotion of artistic creation of young authors, and other locations yeclanos, and bring art and contemporary culture to ordinary citizen.

In addition to this initiative, which aims to establish itself year after year, the municipality intends to "become a reference point for young artists" in our community and in neighboring provinces, as noted by Councilwoman Monica Azorín.

Lastly, remember that participation in certain workshops and children's art and music or experimental, require pre-registration at the Youth Space (until the day of the activity) contacting the cell or 968 79 968 75 48 76 34 41.
