The Minister of Health confirms the launch of an oncology consultation Yecla to avoid transfers and improving care for cancer patients (02/12/2015)

The Minister of Health, Encarna Gullen has confirmed that Health will make an oncology consultation with the staff of the Oncology Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, to treat patients and prevent transfers in Yecla in Murcia.

An oncologist will see once a week to patients in the area, may prescribe medication and thus prevent transfers up visits to cancer patients, thus meeting a demand from the City of Yecla.

The Minister today visited Yecla, where he met with the mayor, Marcos Ortuño.

The meeting has been attended by the Councillor for Health Angel Pino and managing director of the area V of Health of the Region of Murcia, Godofredo Falomir.

Later they met with a representative of the Association of Cancer Affected Yecla (ayac) led by its President Fulgencio Olivares.
