Councilwoman Women, Patricia Soriano explained that since its council will start as from November 11, a workshop on prevention and awareness of gender violence, aimed at students of second of ESO.
About five hundred students from different secondary schools of our city, both public and concerted, attend the sessions led by a psychologist and a social educator.
This is a prevention program in schools chasing girls and boys training in skills to identify inequality loving relationships that may, in future, to accommodate gender violence.
The councilor explained that previously sent a questionnaire to students on certain aspects relating to gender violence which will serve as a starting point for these workshops.
It is intended that this activity is very dynamic with the use of attractive audiovisual materials for students.
Moreover, Patricia Soriano also explained that, since last October to May next year, is developing a pilates workshop aimed at women treated at the Special Care Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI).
This activity, according to the councilor, "is designed to help, not only physically, victims of gender violence, but rather to help aa channel emotions, trying to serve to better control the difficult situation they are going through"
Finally it recalled that all these activities are included in a set of events planned by his Department to develop in the month of November for the November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which will be presented at the time .
