The CONIUN Technology Corporation, which belongs CETEM, about R + D + 3,000 companies in the metal sector (20/09/2013)

Coniun Technology Corporation (to which belongs CETEM) and the Federation of Employers of the Metal of Murcia (FREMM) have reached an agreement on training and transfer of innovation to increase the competitiveness of its associated companies.

The agreement-materialized this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Innovation, in the presence of Minister José Ballesta-3000 enable companies encompassed by the 42 associations and unions that make up the FREMM access services R & D + i that develops Coniun at deep discounts.

The event was attended by the president of FREMM, Juan Antonio Muñoz Fernández, and the presidents of the three technology centers attached to Coniun-president of the Conservation Technology Center, Jose Garcia Gomez, Furniture Technology Center and Wood, Juan Carlos Muñoz Melero, and the president of Marble Technology Center, Jose Marin Nunez.

This agreement, on the one hand, allow employees of over 200 companies within Coniun participate in the training courses organized by FREMM as if they were employees of the companies belonging to the Federation itself.

On the other, the 3,000 companies grouped in the FREMM, and totaling more than 20,000 workers, have access to services for R & D + i develops Coniun Technology Corporation with 15% discount.

In this sense, and to help promote the internationalization of the metal sector in the region, Coniun take into account the characteristics and needs of member companies when FREMM develop R + D + i, especially international .

Currently, Coniun Technology Corporation participates in twenty European projects adding up to a total budget of 35 million euros.

Over the past year, members of Coniun had a turnover in excess of 5.25 million euros, were services R & D & I 720 companies from different productive sectors and worked with 250 affiliates.

The largest source of income is the R + D + i own and strategic (over two million), technology services (about 1.3 million) and the R & D contract (more than 0 , 7 million).

The metal sector in the region has more than 8,000 companies and employs 27,700 36,700 salaried workers and 9,000 self-employed, representing 7% of the working population.

Of these 8,000 companies, over 90% are self-employed and micro with fewer than 10 workers.
