Yecla Town Council reiterated the Highways Agency of the Region of Murcia, head of this way, the need to regularly clean the gutters of Villena highway to avoid situations that occurred on the afternoon of Monday 9th September, heavy rains dumped on our city.

These rains, which reached more than 11 liters per square meter caused the damming of water in certain areas where the scuppers were clogged with weeds and trash accumulated.

For this reason, from the Department of Works has reiterated the regional body responsible for roads required to periodically clean these gutters to avoid this kind of problems and unnecessary discomfort.
