The Yecla Wine Routes in the Assembly of Acevin (09/07/2013)

Between 4 and 6 July 2013, the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN), held in Lucena (Cordoba) the XIX General Assembly, where he reported on the status of the collaboration agreements with Turespaña and the Ministry of Agriculture , Food and Environment for 2013-2014 annuities.

They discussed the status of accounts and approval of the budget for 2013, while approval was given in the program of activities for 2013.

Similarly, it was reported ACEVIN incorporating the international network of "Paths of the Vine" INTER-Vitis managed and ACTE (Association of Culture and Turism Exchange) European association of tourism and cultural exchange.

Assembly concluded with RECEVIN reports (Network of European Cities of Wine) and question and answer period, where new lines of work proposed within the association, to enable the revitalization of cities ACEVIN adhered to.

During these days also was held the meeting of the Management Committee of the Wine Routes of Spain, where he attended Yecla Wine Trail for the first time after its recent certification.

Also took advantage of this national partners concentration for a training day on kosher wines, part of the brand "Sefarad Vineyards" Network of Jewish Quarters in Spain.

The host city of Lucena welcomed with great hospitality to all participants, making the celebration of this national meeting ACEVIN an event, not only for their municipality, but also for the entire province of Cordoba, designing a program of activities that allowed attendees to learn the peculiarities of Lucena and the region.

Councillor for Agriculture, Jesus Verdu said that "since the incorporation of Yecla Spanish Association of Wine Cities in 2009, has developed an outstanding job, promoted at the time by the Councillor for Tourism, Felipe Ortuño and the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin Yecla, and with the involvement of a large number of wineries and establishments of our city, led to the formation of Yecla Wine Trail Association on February 17, 2010. then began work creation of Yecla Wine Trail, which, in the hands of its president, Juan Pedro Brown, and Board of Directors, have been able to channel the contributions and concerns of all partners to achieve, in little more than two years, the certification Spain Wine Route. An exciting project is to value all tourist and cultural resources of the city, becoming a development opportunity for all economic sectors of Yecla ".
