The Ministry of Agriculture and Water has introduced a new security system in the construction of the raft of wastewater use Yecla called 'Dren fireplace'.
The purpose is to prevent trawls fine solids into the batter, at a hypothetical waterproofing sheet breakage.
For this the system includes an area controlled evacuation of water and thus prevents breaking of the raft.
The Ministry signed an agreement last year with the city of Yecla and irrigation communities of Santiago Pozo and Hoya Portichuelo Mollidar-regulator to build this dam on land provided by the Session, which will be irrigated using wastewater reclaimed from the wastewater treatment plant in the municipality.
The Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, said, during his recent visit to Yecla, that building this raft "allow the successful use of the new volumes of water, to enable storage and provision of crops in times of irrigation, which will help farming and will also promote the modernization of the respective irrigation areas, at a later stage. "
The official also stressed that regional balsa said "will have a useful capacity exceeding 400,000 m3, and will include the necessary pipes for filling and distribution of water for irrigation communities beneficiaries".
Its completion is expected before next summer.
Since its launch last November, has already implemented 35 percent of the planned investment, which amounts to 2.6 million euros, financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
