The main objective of internationalization Furniture Fair Yecla (07/03/2011)

On the other hand, the National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain (ANIEME) has published its 2010 full year figures of the sector, which is an increase in exports of furniture made in the Region of Murcia with respect to 2009 data.

In recent years, exports of furniture sector showed a worrying negative trend, mainly caused by the arrival in Europe of furniture from eastern countries like China or Korea.

This represented a major challenge in terms of competitiveness, since labor costs in these countries are vastly lower, which makes the final product price is cheaper.

Only the quality and design features of the products of Murcia furniture industry have been the strengths for this last financial year 2010 has been better than before, with a total export volume of 43,883,420 euros.

With regard to the countries that export more Murcia sector companies, include such diverse destinations as France, United Kingdom, Portugal, Russia, Cuba, Angola, Ireland, Japan, Uzbekistan and UAE.
