The National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain (ANIEME) today held its June 30th General Assembly, which was chosen to 3 Members of the Board of Directors of the Association.
Among the items on the agenda, was presented for approval the proposed Plan for the Promotion of Spanish Furniture 2011.
Another point discussed was the organization of trade missions to Press and Buyers Habitat Valencia Fair ANIEME 2010 that coordinates with the support of ICEX IVEX and, together with the fair.
The proposed Action Plan presented this morning by ANIEME in its General Assembly, highlights the strong commitment of the Association for emerging countries such as Brazil, Morocco, Algeria, African countries (Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Angola and Nigeria), Tunisia , Libya or Saudi Arabia, among others.
Besides trade missions to these markets, ANIEME will organize group participation in major international fairs such as Meuble Paris, Maison & Objet (Paris), International Furniture Fair in Milan or INDEX Dubai.
Other markets included in the proposed Sector Plan 2011, which is scheduled to visit through direct trade missions are Mexico, Lebanon, Cyprus, Qatar, Panama and Puerto Rico.
In addition, ANIEME, at the request of its partners, will strengthen the database of agents, architecture and prescribers of European countries like Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom or France.
In the General Assembly held this morning was also appropriate to the reelection of Gauthier de Nutte (heavy public), Jorge Mariner (Mariner HS) and Ana Terradez (FSC) as Members of the Board of ANIEME.
ANIEME President, "Juan Carlos Muñoz, said that" The primary objective is to ANIEME maximum support to companies in the furniture industry in its internationalization process. In this sense, basic consider opening new emerging markets , to provide business opportunities for Spanish manufacturers, which is one of the key parts of the work being done from ANIEME.
To this General Assembly have submitted a proposal for international promotion and forceful ambitious for next year 2011, we intend to provide tools for companies to expand their horizons to new markets, not forgetting the traditional markets in we must make an effort to maintain market share and gained, despite the situation of lethargy in which they pass.
We must not forget that France, Portugal, Germany and United Kingdom remain the largest consumers of Spanish furniture. "
