| Virginia Almendros 3rd in female individual and Champion in Doubles.

Sandra Martínez, Runner-up in Doubles | Last Sunday, May 16, the finals of the Alevín Regional Tennis Championship, organized by the FTRM and the YCT, were held at the club's facilities, in the city of Yecla.   The trophy ceremony was attended by Mª Remedios Lajara (Mayor of Yecla), Pedro Romero (Councilor for Sports), José Alcolea (President of the Murcia Tennis Federation), Alfredo Ruiz (President of the YCT) and Ángel Alonso (Manager of the YCT and Tournament Director). From the Yecla Tennis Club we are grateful for the great participation of players from numerous clubs in the region, also to all families and the attending public for their good behavior, complying at all times with the Covid-19 health regulations. Most outstanding results of the club's players. The YCT tennis player Virginia Almendros achieved third place in the individual classification and Champion of the tournament in women's doubles, having a good tournament as seed No.

For her part, Sandra Martínez was proclaimed runner-up in women's doubles and Sergio López reached the 1/8 final.

From the YCT we congratulate all the players for the good level of tennis offered, being aware that among them are the future promises of regional tennis in the coming years. NEXT TOURNAMENT IN THE CLUB  The Yecla Tennis Club will hold from June 14 to 20 the XIV National Tennis Open (Clay Surface), "1st Memorial Toni Ortega", included in the national circuit IBP TENNIS SATÉLITES. A tournament that the club takes up after several years of absence, dedicated for the first time in this edition to Toni Ortega, (Sports Director of the club years ago, who died in 2018 as a result of Cancer). Regional Base Tennis Circuit  “IniciaTenis” The YCT will once again host one of the qualifying phases of this regional initiation circuit, which will begin on May 22nd and will run until the end of June.
