[IU-Verdes de Yecla requests the resignation or dismissal of the Minister of Health (20/01/2021)

| Izquierda Unida also denounces that they are forcing the health workers of Yecla belonging to private and concerted services to travel to Murcia to be the vaccine | Izquierda Unida-Verdes de Yecla demands the immediate resignation of the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, due to the scandal of the inoculated vaccines without respecting the current protocols in this matter.

From the formation of the left, they denounce that the administration of the vaccine to the counselor and senior officials, before the risk groups and even before all the first-line health workers, is a lack of ï Intolerable ethics in public office.

Alberto Martnez, IU-Verdes spokesman, comments that "the Health Minister has taken advantage of his position to have the privilege of accessing the vaccine before people who really need it to avoid death." For this reason, Alberto Martnez considers that "it is not enough for Manuel Villegas to apologize, he must resign or, failing that, he must be dismissed from his post immediately." From the left-wing party they point out that what happened is further proof that the PP public officials take advantage of their positions every time they have the opportunity to have privileges that the rest of the population does not have.

In addition, IU-Greens denounce a bad management of the vaccination campaign.

In this sense, they reveal that the government of the Region of Murcia is forcing hundreds of health workers from private and concerted services to travel to Murcia to access the vaccine.

Thus, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses, and any non-public professional from Yecla who is dedicated to taking care of the health of Yecla in the first line has to make two trips to Murcia to access the same service that has been accessed by senior health officials.

Alberto Martnez ends by noting that "once again the government of the Region forgets Yecla, it is a shame that we have a hospital here and, nevertheless, they oblige people every day They put their health at risk to take care of us to travel to the capital at their own risk to get the vaccine.
