[COMODON DESCANSO gives away 40,000 masks for all schoolchildren and students in Yecla (12/01/2021)

The COMODON DESCANSO company, specialized in the manufacture of rest equipment and in the production of protection elements, through its COMODON CARE brand, has decided to give away 40,000 masks for all schoolchildren, students of vocational training and baccalaureate in the city of Yecla. It is not the first corporate social responsibility action that the company takes during this period of pandemic.

In this past year, in the heat of the Covid-19 scourge, the company made its facilities available to the Government, being one of the first companies to offer its support and donating more than 1,500 mattresses with a very limited period of time.

delivery, to supply the IFEMA fairgrounds, which became a large hospital for coronavirus patients.

COMODON has also had the initiative to send mattresses to Spanish hospitals (such as Tomelloso) by giving away enough units of these. COMODON DESCANSO, which has carried out various solidarity actions, has again tried to contribute its collaboration in the face of this exceptional pandemic situation, although this time for the benefit of the closest environment that surrounds the company: Yecla and its citizens.

COMODON carries corporate social responsibility in its DNA. The ceremony for the delivery of these 40,000 masks to the students, which has been carried out in the company's own facilities, has been supported by the mayor of Education and Nursery Schools of the Yecla City Council, Remedios Lajara, as well as as by directors of the educational centers of the city and presidents of Ampas.

At the same time, it has counted on the directors of the company itself.

Lajara, on behalf of the entire group of students from Yecla, wanted to thank COMODON for this great solidarity initiative and also thanked the gesture that it represents for so many families in these times of crisis that we live.

The CEO of the company, Fausto Ortuño, has stressed that they are aware of the extra cost of masks in the shopping cart.The town council will be in charge of facilitating the distribution of the masks to all schools and institutes in the town. function { ;(, , {});}
