427 owners of small businesses, hoteliers and professionals who carry out their activity in our town, are receiving during these days the payment of municipal aid that are part of the more than forty measures that the Municipal Government has been announcing to combat this pandemic that we are suffering and its effects. The assistance plan for the elderly, the reinforcement of employment plans, the creation of a contingency fund, the exemption of the garbage tax for hoteliers and merchants affected by the crisis, the abolition of the occupation rate of the public roads and the discount in the ICIO and the IBI for all of them, the return of municipal taxes or the expansion of the terraces are some of these measures. 'We have opted for Yecla and the Yeclanos, we have bet and we continue to bet on entrepreneurs, businessmen and all those who, despite the current difficulties, want to keep their businesses open while maintaining jobs - Marcos Ortuño has declared- .
We are not going to abandon anyone and we are going to continue with the effort along two main lines: on the one hand, applying the criteria and measures that the health authorities transfer to us and, on the other, supporting the commerce and hospitality of Yecla with economic and social measures' . And it is that in recent days the Yeclano consistory is making effective the more than four hundred transfers of € 412.84 granted as aid to each of these Yeclans.
Grants that have been awarded after reviewing the 450 application files that reached the Yecla City Council.
'We are aware that this aid is limited, yet we also know that it represents an important relief for the situation of certain families and businesses.
And as we have been doing from the first minute, we are going to continue adopting health and social measures to help overcome this crisis.
In this regard, I want to reclaim the unity and involvement of all through policies that are truly social and not ideological, with policies that reach all those who are in need.
'-The mayor of Yecla has concluded.
