Point COVID-19 starts operating in Yecla (06/04/2020)

The City Council remains in contact with the different centers and social residences in which up to now there has been no case

The mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, has announced the start of the activity of point COVID-19 in Yecla.

A point that has been installed in the parking lot of the Hospital 'Virgen del Castillo' and that will facilitate control of the spread of this pandemic.

"It is a point for the extraction of samples that can offer a diagnosis in a few hours and that will help our health workers to fight against the disease."

-Also the first mayor of Yeclano has reported the operation of the same-, 'at this point COVID-19 will only go to those who are indicated from the Murcian Health Service and with the purpose of stopping the contagion and improving medical treatment from the patients'.

'The different measures that we are implementing at the municipal level are meeting their objectives.

And in this aspect, the work of disinfecting our streets and parks and places as sensitive as the hospital or other healthcare centers, are still being carried out with municipal workers and thanks to the collaboration of Yeclan farmers and forest brigades' -he has declared Marcos Ortuño, who has continued saying that- 'in the same way we are also very aware of our care homes, both the elderly and the AMPY'-.

And it is that all these facilities are periodically receiving the visit of municipal officials in order to be aware of their needs.

–'It is necessary to indicate that the work in all these centers is being impeccable and that until now no user has shown any symptoms related to the disease '.

Finally and before announcing the program designed by the Department of Youth of the City of Yecla aimed at offering young people and children online activities, Marcos Ortuño wanted to thank the Regional Government, and especially its President, Fernando López Miras, for the sensitivity and the recognition that he has shown with the Yeclan companies that have turned to the solidarity manufacturing of masks. - 'We must thank the Regional Government and our President for the resolution that has been published recognizing the solidarity of the Yeclan companies and temporarily authorizing the initiative They have had manufacturing sanitary material, in addition to informing them that from now on the Ministry of Health is going to provide these companies with the necessary fabric for the manufacture of gowns and masks'-, said the mayor of Yecla.
