The Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment, Antonio Luengo, held a meeting today with the mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, and members of his Government team to start the development of a land management document Rustic of the municipality "so that the natural resources are preserved, the most suitable crops are identified and the over-exploitation of the aquifer, which is vital for the region, is avoided".
Luengo explained that meetings will be held with all the sectors involved, so that the document is the product of maximum consensus when its processing begins.
The meeting also served to address other issues, such as the need for water in the municipality, the repair of rural roads or the improvement of the Nature Hall of the Sierra de Salinas.
