Citizens support parents for the freedom of the choice of education they want for their children (26/11/2019)

Concerted education is a key piece to guarantee freedom of education.

Families have the right to choose what type of center they want to take their children to.

The Education Law 2/2006, of May 3, recognizes as a principle that inspires the Spanish education system, the quality of education for all students, regardless of their conditions and circumstances.

Likewise, this law establishes that, the provision of the public education service will be carried out, through the public and private centers agreed, having previously recognized that concerted education is a key piece to guarantee both the right to education and freedom teaching.

From citizens bet on the freedom of choice of educational center by Spanish families, always defending equity, freedom and educational quality, govern who governs and therefore consider it a priority to take measures by the national and regional government, to establish These guarantees.

In this sense, Yecla Citizens will raise to the next Plenary of the month of December, a motion that proposes that the City Council of Yecla support real measures to demand the Government of Spain and the Government of the Region of Murcia, that education is an effective tool for equal opportunities and guarantee the freedom of choice of educational centers.
