Cs meets with representatives of the Altiplano Lawyers Delegation (30/10/2019)

The Vice President of the Regional Government, Isabel Franco, and the Spokesman of the Municipal Group Cs Yecla, Antonio Puche, meet with representatives of the Altiplano Lawyers Delegation.

Last Friday Isabel Franco listened to the claims of the Altiplano Lawyers, before the decision of the Official Bar Association, to eliminate the Altiplano area in the Office Shift in the Region of Murcia.

To date in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, there are two demarcations, a common area and the Altiplano area that covers Yecla and Jumilla.

The fact that there is an area for the Altiplano, having the same autonomy to organize the duty shift duty, results in the improvement of service provision, providing quality care, being able to be face-to-face and immediate in the different offices of The lawyers assigned to this service are currently 18 Yecla Lawyers and 8 Jumilla Lawyers.

This service is also provided to people with limited economic resources and in a special state of vulnerability.

Last June the Altiplano Lawyers were aware of the modification of the regulations in force to date, by the Murcia Bar Association.

Where a unique demarcation was established for the Office Shift, without obligation for the lawyer assigned to it, to have an office in the area where the service is provided, which will result in the reduction of quality in the service and immediacy, to the detriment of the justiciable.

The Lawyers of the Delegation of the Altiplano informed the Vice President of the Regional Government Isabel Franco and Antonio Puche Spokesperson of Cs Yecla, their complaints in this regard.

Where they pointed out that there has been no dialogue by the Murcia Bar Association with the Altiplano Delegation, despite the insistence of the latter to meet and explain their situation.

In addition, they indicated another of the contradictions of this change, then, while it has been established for the SOJ (Legal Guidance Service) that demarcations are created and requires that lawyers have open offices in the cities to be able to provide services.

For the Office Shift, he does the opposite, unifying the area, which will have an impact on the decrease in the quality of the service provided to the defendant against what is established by the Law.

According to Antonio Puche, Spokesman of Cs Yecla: “we have collected all the demands of this group and we will do everything in our power to support the Altiplano Lawyers, focusing on restoring a quality service to the neighbors, and demanding that there is a dialogue between both parties, just as current regulations require. â€
