Today July 4, 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of José Luis Castillo-Puche.
The councilman of Culture, Jesus Verdú, has advanced the planned activities with the collaboration of the Castillo-Puche Foundation for the coming months on the occasion of the centenary.
Verdú has announced that a documentary is being produced through the Integra Foundation on the life of Castillo-Puche and that a special re-edition of his work 'Como ovejas al matadero' is being prepared, which will open an international meeting of writers in September.
On the other hand, the organization of a cycle of conferences centered on his figure is planned, as well as a monographic publication of the Hécula magazine.
In addition will take place the XXVII edition of the short novel contest 'José Luis Castillo-Puche' that celebrates the institute of the same name since 1994.
