More on the Confederation:

The Spanish Confederation of Musical Societies (CESM) is constituted in Altea (Alicante) in 1993 as a non-profit organization of civil character, with the purpose of coordinating and integrating the musical and cultural associative movement of the Spanish State, represented by its Societies Musicals with their Schools and their Music Bands, entities that have traditionally contributed to preserve an important part of the cultural and musical heritage of our peoples.

The objective of the Spanish Confederation of Musical Societies is the development of musical associationism in all its aspects, promoting its growth, diversification and improvement, both in terms of the training work carried out by its associates and associates of its members, to the socio-cultural activities that they develop, all paying special attention to the growth and normalization of Music Schools, to the musical training of young people, to their integral education and to their cultural enrichment.

A set of fundamental values give ethical support to this entity: democratic values and political independence in the election of its members, information transparency, the promotion of participation, solidarity, dialogue, ideological and social plurality.

The tolerance and approach in the postures are the general tonic of our internal relations and with the surrounding environment.

With all this we aim to achieve maximum cohesion and unity in a way that allows us to be a valid interlocutor before Public and Private Institutions, with respect for reciprocal independence;

We understand that the relationship to maintain with these Public and Private Institutions must be that of collaboration and mutual cooperation.
