Ciudadanos echoes the multiple complaints of users of access to the "Juan Palao" sports complex, with entrance to San Fernando Street. (13/02/2019)

The users of the sports complex "Juan Palao", manifest to Cs complaints about the closing of the access door of San Fernando Street, the only solution of the PP Government Team, to solve the access problem

An accident recently occurred at the gateway to the sports complex "Juan Palao", in the area of San Fernando Street, has caused that by the City of Yecla has proceeded to close the door by accessing the sports tracks in that way, as the only solution to the report made by the Local Police, of the risk and danger of the parking of vehicles in said door.

This has motivated users to access through the main door, opposite the area, having to travel the entire sports complex to reach the slopes located southeast of it.

What has caused multiple complaints from users, saturation in peak hours of the front door and, because in many cases, are children who have to travel the entire complex to reach their training area, which previously accessed easily.

From Citizens believe in the need to enable new access, not only for the convenience of the users of the facilities, but for the need that there are more inputs and outputs, so that in case of emergency, there is quick access to all areas of the complex, and that the evacuation of the same can be done quickly.

From the orange formation consider that this could be possible, enabling an entry and exit in the land adjacent to the facilities by the track section, located between the roundabout access to the Skatepark and the Municipal Pool.

Being able to enable in this land, currently unused, a parking for users who are incorporated from the north of the city, making more accessible the areas of the complex farthest from the main door, also for users with reduced mobility.

In addition to the qualification of more entrances and exits, to facilitate, in case of emergency, the accessibility and evacuation of the sports complex "Juan Palao".

According to Antonio Puche, Spokesman of the Municipal Citizens Group: "There are many users who have expressed their dissatisfaction with the solution of the Municipality of Yecla, to close the access door from San Fernando Street.

We also consider that for security reasons all the doors of the complex should be open.

This fact shows the inexistence of a plan of self-protection that should exist in all municipal facilities, and that we have reiterated the need for it on numerous occasions, without the government of the Popular Party have taken any action in this regard.
