Citizens regrets that the regional government prefers to subsidize a line to Pinoso before connecting the Altiplano with the AVE station in Villena (08/10/2018)

â— The training asks the local and regional PP for a strategic plan to connect Jumilla and Yecla with Villena through a subsidized bus line

Citizens have described as regrettable the decision of the regional government of the PP to subsidize a bus line to the town of Pinoso "while forgetting the Altiplano and denying a similar grant to the residents of Jumilla and Yecla that would allow them to connect with Villena and its AVE station, putting Alicante and Valencia to barely half an hour ".

This has been pointed out by the local spokesman, Antonio Puche, who recalled that it was also the Popular Executive that "cut the root of the subsidy granted to this deficit line and also denied in Yecla aid for the displacement of our students."

According to the orange spokesman, much of the blame for this repeated oblivion is also in the "passivity and misunderstanding of our mayor's obedience to the repeated grievance against Yecla."

The subsidy to the line to Pinoso amounts to 52,745 euros and will benefit residents of Murcia, Abanilla and Fortuna, also confirming the existence of these subsidies to deficit bus lines between the Region and other communities, "something that we have asked in numerous occasions to the mayor without getting an answer. "

The spokesman for Citizens asks "why our City Council stands idly by, without taking the opportunity to establish a strategic plan for public transport, than cities like Yecla and Jumilla with Villena and its AVE station".

This strategic plan should be established through an agreement between the municipalities of the Altiplano, and the resulting line could be jointly subsidized by both the regional government and the Valencian Community.

"However, the government team of the PP and prefers to see the train pass subsidies to this type of lines, while other municipalities do climb it," lamented Puche.
