Last Wednesday, August 22, part of a façade of CEIP San José de Calasanz collapsed and a week later the Government Team continues without publicly informing parents and society in general.
According to information offered by the newspaper La Opinión, and subsequent physical verification by our public officials, on Wednesday, August 22, part of the façade of the San José de Calasanz Public School was removed.
This accident occurred the day before the heavy rains, so the event can be attributed to circumstances of construction.
In addition, this building has only about 10 years old.
From Izquierda Unida-Verdes de Yecla we consider that these facts are very serious considering that they have happened in a school with the public attendance of children, parents, mothers and teachers that this implies throughout the course.
During these days many parents of the center have contacted us and have shown their concern as there is a total absence of information.
More than a week has passed since the events and neither the Government Team of the City Council nor the Ministry of Education have made any public announcement.
For this reason, from IU we request that the Mayor of Yecla and / or the Delegate Councilor of Education appear before the media to give the appropriate explanations.
We believe that they must explain what has happened, the reason why it happened, how the damage will be repaired, the measures that will be taken so that it does not happen again and the actions that public administrations are going to take. for the search of the legal responsibilities that may be demanded by the event.
