Half of those attending the courses food handling of the City Council has benefited from the exemption from unemployment compensation (19/04/2010)

So far this year the council has organized two food handling courses to 61 people who attended.

Thirty of the students have not had to pay for them to benefit from the exemption that the council of Treasury provides to the unemployed.

The rules regulating the conduct of courses for food handlers, has been repealed by other legislation (Royal Decree 109/2010 of 5 February).

Thus, the city of Yecla, acting as a partner for the delivery of training programs for food handlers, and do not have the relevant health authority in this matter.

The only existing rules governing food handlers is a regulation of the European Parliament and Council, 2004, on the hygiene of foodstuffs, which provides that the obligations of food business operators is "to ensure the supervision and instruction or training of food handlers on hygiene issues. "

These operators must certify health inspection that his handlers have been trained according to their work.
