The Department of Health advises that due to the recent rains occurred in our city and to the confirmation of a case of viral disease transmitted by the tiger mosquito in Spain, you must remember to citizens the importance of reviewing and eliminating potential points of water they may have stalled in the housing (puddles, buckets, unused containers, plates pot, jerry cans, ashtrays, drinking fountains, drip irrigation ....), where this mosquito can lay their eggs and thus reproduce.
On June 1, the Department of Health of the City of Yecla put in place a Programme for Prevention and Control of Tiger Mosquito.
Surveillance traps are installed in different parts of the city, traps a pest control company is regularly inspected, the presence of this insect in Yecla having undetected until today.
It is shown to be in the private sector where the 80% of the population of tiger mosquito is why from the Department of Health citizen cooperation is requested again and the importance of review is remembered and eliminate stagnant water points that we have in our homes.
