The Department of Agriculture reports that it has extended until September 15, the deadline for submitting applications for aid to be granted in the rural development program of the Region of Murcia 2014-2020 of the Ministry of Agriculture and water

Aids established to promote the protection of steppe birds, replacement of chemical treatments, protection of the agricultural landscape, the crushing of the Biomaa from agricultural prunings, tillage reduction in exploitation, conversion or maintaining organic farming

HELP LINES OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

These grants are part of measures "Agri-Environment and Climate" and "Organic Farming" program of rural development in the Region of Murcia 2014-2020, and approved the corresponding call to 2015 of those hotlines.

Helplines are as follows:

1. PROTECTION OF BIRDS STEPPE.

Aid to improve the feeding and breeding of steppe birds (bustard, little bustard, bargains, Montagu's harrier, lesser kestrel, stone curlew), by changing some traditional farming practices in cereal steppes.

These aid apply to areas covered by the SPA Steppes of Yecla.

2. FIGHT BIOTECHNOLOGY.

To encourage the use of techniques or no impact on the environment and on consumers, by replacing chemical control for pests biotechnological techniques (pheromones, natural predators, traps, etc ...).

3. Protection of agricultural landscape in the Natura 2000 network to offset the low profitability of crops in agricultural land nestled in the Natura 2000 network (such as the SPA Steppes Yecla), to avoid the risk of abandonment thereof.

4. SHREDDING RESIDUAL BIOMASS FROM AGRICULTURAL PRUNING.

To replace the burning of pruning for the use of biomass from such wreckage, avoiding the risk of fires and CO2 emissions.

5. SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION.

Aid to reduce tillage operation, allowing in some strips of natural vegetation agricultural land is developed, also reducing soil crawls occur torrential rains and mitigate the loss of fertile soil.

6. CONVERSION TO ORGANIC FARMING.

Aid to encourage the transition from conventional to organic organic farming for a period of time.

7. MAINTENANCE OF ORGANIC FARMING.

Aid to help maintain the surfaces of organic farming for a period of time.
