Users Senior Social Center of Yecla organized an exhibition of antiques (27/10/2013)

A total of 50 users of the Social Centre for the Elderly in Yecla, under the Directorate General of the Instituto Murciano Senior Social Action (IMAS), have organized an exhibition of ancient artifacts.

The Senior Managing Director of IMAS, Enrique Perez, and writer José Puche yeclano were responsible for opening the exhibition which will run until Sunday November 24.

The objects and utensils of this exhibition, aimed at adults and children, have been contributed by higher Yecla Community Center, as well as other employees of the municipality.

The CEO said that "the show is also open to schools, as it is a source of historical information which provides information on the names of objects, usefulness or provenance, for example."

Also, other groups such as housewives or youth associations can also visit this exhibition is "a key element" to foster intergenerational relationships.

The purpose of this sample, Perez said, is to focus on the legacy of the past and of the Mediterranean culture, and disseminate and keep alive the historical tradition among the younger generations in the region.

The CEO congratulated all those who "have kindly contributed to this exhibition a reality" and encouraged users Yecla Social Centre to retain their "enthusiasm and excitement" to include programming activities of the Center.
