The rabies vaccination is required for dogs, cats and ferrets (03/07/2013)

The Health Concejalia, remember to be performed during the months of July and August in licensed clinics and this year, for the first time includes mandatory vaccinations cats and ferrets.

The Department of Health through the Municipal Veterinary rabies campaign has regulated Mayoral Proclamation 2013 by making an appeal to pet owners to vaccinate against rabies in the intensification period from 1 July to 31 August.

Vaccination is compulsory in dogs, and from this year also must compulsorily vaccinated cats and ferrets

In the act of vaccination, the owners of these pets first be given a Official Health Primer, completed by the veterinarian carrying out the vaccination.

The owners of dogs vaccinated in previous campaigns must submit the Health Primer to be filled out by the vet with the official seal of rabies campaign 2013.

They keep the prices last year: EUR 20 per pet vaccinated (vaccination at home 24 euros)

The Ordinance also recalls the obligation of identification by microchip in dogs within three months from the date of his birth or a month from the acquisition of the animal.
