The extension of the northern bypass of Yecla improve mobility and accessibility in the municipality (10/07/2012)

The presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, opened today in Yecla improvement works carried out in the prolongation of the northern bypass of the town, an infrastructure that "increases the mobility and accessibility in the north of the region, and significantly improves the connection between access roads and Villena Caudete. "

Fields said that this road will allow a connection "faster and safer" to areas of great importance for the economic development of the region, such as industrial estates and Villena Furniture Fair, and others that provide access to various health centers and education.

The official stressed that regional start-up "decongest traffic in the town, especially in the avenue of the fair, which supports the daily traffic of 10,000 vehicles, and on the road of Villena in peak traffic hours."

This action completes the ring road of the northern municipality in order to "respond to the current needs of Yecla, which in recent years has experienced significant growth."

The project has required an investment of 1.8 million euros, of which the Ministry of the Presidency, through the Directorate General of Local Government and Institutional Relations, has contributed a total amount of 575,000 euros from the Infrastructure Plan Basic Municipal financial contribution has been made in three installments.

Additional Enhancements

The road, 700 meters long, consists of two lanes of 3.5 meters in each direction, separated by a median that was installed with lanterns lighting two arms of 10 meters high and about 2 sidewalks , 5 meters.

Address the needs of municipalities

With the Basic Municipal Infrastructure Plan, the regional government "has expressed sensitivity to the needs of municipalities and their inhabitants, through the financing of actions aimed at reducing the gaps in the provision of municipal services," noted Fields.

Most of the actions in this plan were aimed at building new facilities and rehabilitation of municipal buildings, improving infrastructure, fix the streets, roads, sidewalks, pavement and road or the creation of landscaped areas.
