The Region subsidizes early care project that develops in Yecla (21/11/2011)

Currently, the early focus of our city is a specialized and personalized to a total of 160 children under six years.

The Ministry of Social Policy, through the Instituto Murciano Social Action, has funded the Center for Child Development and Early Yecla, with a total of 146,790 euros.

Early childhood programs in our city also have a municipal contribution of 74,986 euros.

The Ministry of Social Policy and the city of Yecla have signed the corresponding agreement of collaboration that has made possible the direct award of that grant.

This grant is part of the regional assistance project, promotion and integration of people with disabilities who manages the IMAS, focusing on the population of children under six years of age with problems in their physical, mental or sensory impairment, or at- biological or social risk.

The needs of these children carry custom programs for prevention, detection and diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, including sensory-motor stimulation and cognitive, motor, speech therapy and auditory functioning, socio-emotional and family, as well as family counseling and emotional environment and social development, and coordination with other centers and foster care services early in Yecla.

Currently, the team of early care professionals in our city is a specialized and personalized to a total of 160 children under six years, affected by different syndromes, psychomotor retardation, cerebral palsy, high biological risk (low birth weight or premature) blindness, deafness, behavioral disorders, attention deficit and disruptive behavior, including biological and socio-environmental changes.

Workshops have also been developed infant massage and sphincter control, and specific support to parents and families.

These data demonstrate the "public interest, social and humanitarian of the Center for Child Development and Early Yecla, aimed at improving the quality of life for these children and their families", as indicated by the Councillor for Social Policy, Antonio Puche.
