We present the proposed 2011 municipal budget (28/09/2011)

The expenditure budget totals EUR 25,699,359.89, representing a reduction of about 7 million euros compared to the year 2009

The Mayor has called these assumptions as "realistic, austere and meet the principle of budgetary stability"

Yecla Mayor, Councillor Mark Ortuño and Finance, Alejandro Palao, presented the 2011 municipal budget amounting to 25,699,359.89 euros

Costs have been adjusted to maintain essential services and has been contained and tax rates, so that our citizens can address the economic crisis.

For the year 2009, is a reduction in expenditure of about 7 million euros.

The presentation of these budgets is one of the objectives set economic reality to the statements of previous years and forecasts for the current year.

These budgets will define the general lines of the 2012 municipal budget

The City currently maintains a large number of services necessary for the development of life in Yecla.

Its operation requires a significant effort in the current economic situation in which incomes have fallen, so have set the maximum cost to make the functioning of them all.

The Mayor has stressed in particular the lack of support and reduction of inputs of the Central Government as one of the most important causes of reduced municipal revenues.

On the contrary considers that the Regional Government contributions will be maintained in numbers similar to last year.

Moreover, due to budgetary constraints, municipal corporations can not access credit, even though the city of Yecla has a healthy economy with low savings and positive net financial burden.

In the last financial year has been a saving of 2.5 million euros and the financial burden stands at 9.48%, which means that the debts of the municipality are below the limits set by the Central State , as explained by the first municipal mayor.

Therefore it was decided to limit investments to make in this exercise to the commitments already signed.

Are collected and expenditures for the construction plans and complementary services, in particular the development works in the streets Casas Altas and the Philippines and the project "Yecla Rate" in regard to the bidding of bioclimatic building next to the Avenida Jose Sola .

As for expenses, is to adjust the more substantial items,

as staff costs and running costs, where there has been a reduction of 760 thousand euros, as reported by the Councillor of Finance, explained that the draft policy includes increases in employment, education and social policy.

The agreements signed by the City as public entities, associations and the municipality have been adjusted amounts.

The budget for this year is the first that made the current government team.
