Yecla City Council welcomes student interns a Job Placement Program of Ampy (03/03/2011)

The Cooperation Agreement signed between the city of Yecla and the Association of Mentally Handicapped Yecla, Ampy has enabled the implementation of practices within the Municipal Department of Culture Álvaro Source Orrico, a young man who is currently studying the Job Placement Program, for pupils with special educational needs.

The internship began on March 1 and runs through May 11, 2011.

During these months, the student intern at City Hall, Yecla and concierge support tasks; enveloping of letters and invitations; perform errands and delivery of briefings, in addition to cutting of inputs and support tasks to the public and quartermaster in the Segura Concha theater.

These functions are purely educational and will run from Monday to Thursday from 10.30 to 12.30 hours (eight hours per week) in the city of Yecla, and on days 1, 12, 20 and March 27 and April 3 in the Teatro Concha Segura.

During the internship, an employment counselor accompanies students Álvaro Source, responsible for the proper development of the practices, which is responsible for supervision of Peter Benjamin Muñoz, Teatro Concha Segura programmer.

Data on the Job Placement Program (PIL)

Training program aimed at students between 18 and 23 years of age with special educational needs, who have not attained the objectives of compulsory secondary education or vocational training qualifications for, or are out of school.

It is managed by the Association for Mentally Handicapped Yecla, Ampy, and funded by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment.

The main objective of this training is social integration and employment of students in local companies.

Training classes are developed in a ship Urbayecla II Industrial Estate, which has two classrooms equipped for basic training and training and career counseling, an office, for tutoring, and a workshop with professional profile upholstery.
