The Department of Social Policy has received the award of a grant of 53,687 euros to finance social projects supporting the family and children, from the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, as reported in a press conference the Councillor of the area , Lajara Remedios.
This grant represents an increase of more than 23 billion euros on aid received last year 2015 in the program to combat child poverty and adds to the more than 200,000 euros to the Department of Social Policy is this year to basic services of social services.
The grant received will allow, on the one hand, granting economic benefits of social urgency to families or units of coexistence in a situation of deprivation severe material with minors in their care, so they can meet basic needs for food, rent, supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment basic housing.
To access these features, also should be in a position of social or educational intervention have exhausted benefits and municipal aid and lack of income from unemployment benefits, allowance, pensions, etc.
Such aid is counted on a total budget of 30,212 euros which can serve 219 people.
Moreover, the grant also allocates 23,475 euros for service intervention and family support in situations of psychosocial difficulty or risk of exclusion.
Thus it is expected to act with 48 families in which you guide, counsel and support will be provided when there are situations of risk or vulnerability, when stability is being being threatened or when any member not properly served.
Complementarily, will take place a support service to socialize and integral development of children at risk of social exclusion, through assistance to private playgrounds of the town.
