The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia held a concert on Friday night in Yecla to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, a performance that is part of the tour organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and that leads to the Symphony to four municipalities of the Region to close the season 20018/2019.
Under the baton of the director Daniel Abad, head of the Chamber Orchestra of the Valencian Community, the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia performed in the first part of the concert parts of soundtracks of films like 'Los siete magníficos',' El puente on the River Kwai 'or' Star Wars', as well as the series' Game of Thrones'.
The second part was dedicated to 'Symphony N ° 7' by Beethoven.
The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts, Marta López-Briones, said that the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia "has once again demonstrated its great artistic versatility and reaped another great success in his performance of Yecla."
López-Briones recalled that from Culture "we want more and more Murcia enjoy our symphony", which this season will end up acting in the municipalities of Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Águilas, Yecla, Torre Pacheco, Los Alcázares and San Javier.
