The neurologist David García Azorín has just been re-elected as Coordinator of the Study Group of Neurochemistry and Neuropharmacology of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN), a position he will develop during the next two years.
Born in Yecla (Murcia), Dr. David García Azorín is currently a Specialist in Neurology at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid, as well as a Neurologist consultant in the Health 2.0 program and Neurocooperation project coordinator at the Fundación Recover NGO.
He has participated as Spanish representative of the Young Neurologists and in Training of the European Academy of Neurology and is currently the representative of the Teaching Course Sub-Committee of the same.
Bachelor of Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid and specialist in Neurology at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid and currently finishing his subspecialized training in the field of headaches in the Headache Unit of the Clinical Hospital of Valladolid and the Danish Headache Center.
He is a co-author of articles in national and international journals as well as book chapters and communications in national and international Congresses.
The Study Groups of the SEN have the objective of bringing together the members of the scientific society, depending on their degree of specialty in the different neurological pathologies or in the interest shown by subjects related to other aspects of the specialty, and they are responsible to promote and develop research and continuous training in each area.
The new Meetings of the Study Groups of the SEN were elected after an election period that ended at the end of November 2018. The appointments have been made effective in January 2019, once the period of the allegations has ended.
